Who is Lights Planner Action?
Hey hey paper lovers!! I'm Bess Wightman, also known as the creative mind behind Lights Planner Action and better known as @lightsplanneraction on instagram. Welcome to my world of handcrafted paper products that are all about spreading joy and making life easier to manage!
At LPA, my mission is simple: to help you make your chaotic life lighter and more manageable, to help the invisible feel seen and shine brighter, and to keep your cherished memories alive despite the turning pages of the calendar.
I believe that handcrafted goods are truly special, and I pour my heart and soul into every product I create.
From planning tools to memory keeping essentials to journals that inspire creativity, I hand-make beautiful and luxe paper products with a focus on quality and attention to every detail. My design aesthetic is one-of-a-kind, and I take pride in using top-notch materials to ensure that every item that leaves my workshop is a true masterpiece.
In addition to creating products, I love connecting with fellow planners and spreading love and light into the planner community. This year, I had the incredible opportunity to lead a journaling workshop at the Wild for Planners Go Wild Conference in D.C., where I shared my passion for planning and creativity with over 1300 planner enthusiasts. And through Instagram, I've been able to connect with thousands of fellow planners from around the globe, sharing daily planner content, dancing silly, and making planner puns to brighten up everyone's day!
What sets LPA apart is that my products are influenced by my own life experiences and the input of my amazing friends and fellow planners. I believe in listening to my community and designing products that fill gaps and meet the unique needs of planners. For example, I recently expanded my holiday series to include Hannukah and Diwali planners based on feedback and requests from my incredible community.
Collaboration and connection are at the heart of what I do at LPA.
In addition to my creative pursuits, I hold a Masters in Communication with a focus on digital media. I believe that my education has empowered me to grow my business, connect with my audience in meaningful ways, and constantly evolve as a maker.
Looking ahead, my vision for LPA extends beyond my basement workshop (yes, that's where all the magic happens!). I'm passionate about continuing to spread love and light into the planner community, inspiring others to embrace their creativity and make their dreams come true with beautiful and functional paper products.
I'm also committed to giving back to the community that has supported me by partnering with charitable organizations and using my platform for positive change.
On a personal note, I'm a warm and empathetic soul who loves to dance, sing and laugh. When I'm not busy creating, you can find me indulging in other handmade crafts like painting, blinging, and jewelry making. And most importantly entertaining my adorable floofy doggo named Bennington, who brings endless joy and light to my life!
